How Our Career Counseling Works

I. Virtual Consultation  

We know how important it is to build a connection right from the start, so we offer a free consultation before you commit to anything. This quick chat gives us a chance to get to know you, talk about your needs, and see how we can help you reach your career goals.  Some of the topics people select include career decisions, career change, interview practice, job search strategies, and moving past job loss. 

II. Getting Started  

After our consultation, we’ll send you a summary of what we discussed and what the next steps could look like. You’ll also get a contract and payment info to make things official. If we’re doing a career interest inventory, we’ll send you everything you need when the time comes.

III. Collaborative Meetings  

Our meetings are all virtual—either on Zoom or by phone, whatever works best for you. Most sessions are about an hour, and meetings are during the day and early evening, based on your schedule. Sessions will focus on things like setting priorities, exploring career options, and working through any challenges. If you've done a career assessment, we’ll go over the results and what they mean for your future. At the end of each session, we’ll mutually decide on a follow-up task to keep you moving forward.

V. Follow-Up  

You’ll hear from us within 24 hours after each meeting with a recap to make sure we're on the same page. We’ll also share any helpful resources, like articles or links, that can support you. And of course, we’re always here for any follow-up questions or extra guidance you need along the way.
