Fern Selesnick, Career Counselor and Resume Writer, she/her
Fern is a career counselor, resume writer, and educator with more than 20 years of experience serving individuals and organizations. She founded Fern Selesnick Consulting in 2002 to assist people with their careers and well-being.
Fern's past work includes over 15 years of providing career counseling, resume assistance, and classes for career centers, as well as serving as an independent stress-management and wellness educator. Her decision to open Fern Selesnick Consulting came after years of witnessing the powerful impact of quality career services on people's lives.
A key element of Fern's work is helping clients understand and adapt to changes in occupations, technology, and the labor market, while providing practical support throughout the career and job-search process. She blends career counseling and writing expertise with an emphasis on education, self-care, and wellness.
Fern Selesnick Consulting serves clients from Northampton, Western Massachusetts, and throughout the United States. Fern's original programs, Western Mass Resume and Western Mass Career Counseling, are still available to local residents.
Credentials
Fern holds a Master of Education in Human Services Counseling from Antioch University and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Massachusetts.
She is certified to administer the Strong Interest Inventory through G/S Consultants and is a member of the National Career Development Association.
Fern works with the MassHire Springfield Career Center, where she delivers original webinars to the public on resumes, job search, and life skills.
