Where do you meet people?

We meet virtually, either through Zoom or by phone, based on our client's preference.

Is my information confidential?

We take confidentiality very seriously. We only share information with your written permission or if there's a danger to someone's healthy and safety. We include our commitment to confidentiality in our signed contract.

Can I gift your services to a relative or friend?

Yes, we're always happy to be part of such a special gift! (We won't not share the gift price with the recipient.)

Do you offer any discounts?

Yes. Our coaching services are available on a sliding scale, with special discounts for students, recent graduates (with the last two years),   mature workers, and retirees returning to work. We also offer discounted resumes and cover letters for students and recent graduates.


Resumes and Cover Letters

Do you write resumes for older workers?

Yes, and we welcome you!  We specialize in showcasing skills and achievements over age and honoring the value that older workers bring to the workplace. 

I was out of work for over a year. Can I still have an effective resume?

Yes!  Most employers value time spent volunteering, caring for family, or taking classes. If one of those applies to you, we'll include that in your resume to show the valuable way you spent your time while unemployed,  If you were out of work due to illness, we'll focus more heavily on your skills and we'll recommend a carefully written cover letter that emphasizes your availability and willingness to return to work.

I want to advance in my career. Can you write me a competitive resume?

Yes! Competitive resumes demonstrate outcomes. We're skilled at identifying achievements and quantifying results. Our meetings will include time to do this. (The process of discussing your accomplishments is also great preparation for interviews.)

What's the purpose of a cover letter? Isn't a resume enough?

Research shows that recruiters and employers favor applicants with cover letters, even when those letters are "optional".  Cover letters let applicants explain important details that aren't in their resume, such a career change employment gaps. You can also emphasize qualifications or achievements that might be of special value to an employer, and gain you a competitive edge.
