How Our Resume Services Work

I   Let's Meet

We think people should be able to meet with a resume writer before "signing on", so we schedule a short, complimentary meeting to discuss  your career and answer your questions.

II  Complete a Checklist

We'll ask you to complete a "Next Steps Checklist" that may include sample job postings or a questionnaire. We'll also send a contract with our service details and request payment.

 
III  Collaborative Meetings

We'll do these on Zoom or by phone, whichever you like. Meetings are a time to review drafts and discuss questions and feedback. Depending on your package, we'll dig into the resume or cover letter we're writing or guide you if you're updating your own resume. We'll coach you on using your materials and we're happy to discuss your job search and career. Most meetings last 60 minutes, but the length and amount vary by package.

IV An Emphasis on Quality

Today's resumes and cover letters have two audiences: Applicant tracking systems (ATS) and human eyes. ATS screen applications submitted online and can block your materials from being seen. We're experts at optimizing resumes for ATS and designing them to impress the people who count.

IV Finish Up

Once our work is done, your professional resume and cover letter will be ready for your job search. We'll email you some final tips on your submitting materials, and we'll be available for questions any time.
