How Our Career Guidance Works

 I  Let's Meet

We think people should meet a career advisor before signing on, so we schedule a short complimentary meeting to discuss your career, answer your questions, and experience our career counseling. We'll also request your resume, if you have one.

II  Start Up Tasks

We'll ask you to complete a contract outlining the details and request a payment before we begin. Sometimes, that's all we'll need. Depending on your services, we might also request some added information, and if you're completing a career assessment, we'll definitely send some materials your way.  

III Work Together

We'll meet on Zoom or by phone, whatever you prefer. Most sessions are 60 minutes long, but extended meetings are available if you'd like. Our career advising combines career counseling with coaching, education, and support, and we'll customize our services to your needs. Examples include discussing a career change, planning a job search, or practicing for interviews. We'll also collaborate on assignments to help you move forward, such as occupational research, reading, networking, or self care.

IV   Receive Courtesy Follow Ups

After each session, you'll receive a customized summary of key discussion points, access to any resources we discussed, and a recap of what's next.
