Fern is a professional career counselor, webinar host, and resume writer with over 20 years of experience serving individuals, non-profit agencies, and schools. She founded Fern Selesnick Consulting in 2002 to assist people of all ages at all stages of their careers. Her decision came after years of witnessing the powerful positive impact of customized career services on people's' personal and professional lives.
A key element in Fern's work is helping people adapt to the rapid occupational changes and technological demands of today's labor market. She designs and hosts webinars on a broad range of career-related topics that include remote job search, resumes for online screenings, virtual job interviews, and labor market research.
In addition to her career development work, Fern has created and facilitated workshops in stress management, interpersonal communication, and effective supervision, co-led seminars for managing chronic illness, and conducted classes in financial literacy and consumer education. She draws on her broad base of experience to assist clients in achieving work-life balance and reaching their professional goals. Fern holds an M.Ed. from Antioch University, a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and is certified by Consulting Psychologists Press to administer the Strong Interest Inventory. She lives in Western Massachusetts.
Heather Day LMSW, Social Media Advisor
Heather is a skilled youth advisor, community leader, and trainer on personal growth and diversity for schools, youth groups, and non-profit organizations in New York and Western Massachusetts. She currently serves as Director of Youth Programs for Neighbors in Action (NIA), Brooklyn, NY. Heather holds a Master of Social Work from Fordham University and a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies from Connecticut College. She possesses a certificate in Community Action and Public Policy from Connecticut.
